the largest ocean animal

The largest ocean animal is the blue whale (Balaenoptera musculus). Adult blue whales can grow up to 100 feet (30 meters) long and weigh over 200,000 pounds (90,000 kilograms). They are not only the largest ocean animal, but also the largest animal on Earth. Blue whales are found in all the world's oceans and are known for their distinctive blue-gray color and long, streamlined bodies. They feed mainly on small shrimp-like crustaceans called krill, and can consume up to 4 tons of krill per day during feeding season.
