why fever comes Fever is a common response of the body's immune system to an infection or illness. When harmful microorganisms like bacteria, viruses, or fungi enter the body, the immune system releases certain chemicals called pyrogens, which travel to the brain and trigger the hypothalamus (the part of the brain that regulates body temperature) to raise the body's temperature. The increase in body temperature helps to create an unfavorable environment for the microorganisms and stimulate the immune system to fight off the infection. This is why fever is often considered a sign that the body is working to fight off an infection or illness. Other factors that can cause fever include inflammation, certain medications, and some medical conditions. In some cases, the cause of the fever may be unknown and can be referred to as a fever of unknown origin. If you have a fever, it's important to identify the underlying cause and seek appropriate medical treatment if necessary.
